Are you an aspiring musician who dreams of performing in front of thousands of people?

Then look no further than the South Park Gardens Music Festival which is on the lookout for fresh young acts under the age of 22 to perform at this year’s event.

Founded in 2009 by four members of the Friends of South Park Gardens, the festival regularly attracts thousands of visitors looking to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a host of musical entertainment. Previous acts include The Jacobites, Hugh Young and his Band of Merry Men, Babyfaced Assassins and Malory Torr.

Now in its fourth year, the festival has gone from strength to strength and organisers are promising this year's event to be bigger than ever.

The Merton Youth Concert Band, an orchestra of 70 young musicians from the Merton Music Foundation, have already been confirmed returning after their 2011 performance while XFM DJ John Kennedy will return as host.

If you would like to volunteer or sponsor the festival in any way email mandy@southparkgardensmusicfestival.com Applications to perform at the event close on Friday, May 25.
