The Esher Residents’ Association has joined the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE). Chris Davison, spokesperson for the ERA, says the association took the decision to support CPRE in its efforts to defend the Green Belt that is currently under tremendous pressure. In doing this the ERA is joining with other residents’ associations from adjacent towns to coordinate their efforts in opposing major developments such as the Chippings Farm development that is mooted to be built between Esher and Cobham.
