It is all very well Friends of Ashburton Park putting in plans to improve the park, but when will the council step in to prevent antisocial behaviour?
The gates remain unlocked at night, and needles have been found near the playground, yet the council do not act to prevent this. Another antisocial issue is the children from the local Oasis Academy Shirley Park.
On sunny days they head to the park after school, and bombard the playground with their shouts and screams.
It is very off-putting for parents and the children that this playground is intended to be for.
Croydon Council has yet to act on this, or respond to complaints made so far.
