Residents in Woodplace Lane are having to put up with smelly, overflowing bins, covered in flies.
The situation will continue to worsen as warm weather is forecast over the next few days.
The wheelie bins have not been emptied for 19 days due to the changes in bin collections and despite several residents repeatedly contacting Croydon Council.
Under the new system, the wheelie bins are not due to be collected until Thursday, June 11, which will be 24 days since they were emptied.
Croydon Council says that to address the 24 days between collections, βan additional unscheduled collection was arranged for May 29β.
Being an unscheduled collection means that nobody knew anything about this extra collection as it was not included in the timetable of changes that was distributed to residents.
Meanwhile residents are living with a potential health hazard and still waiting for their bins to be emptied.
