Prince Harry’s call for National Service to be brought back that hit the headlines recently was an interesting one and I have to say I agree with him.
There are too many youths hanging around on the street corners without anything to do and seemingly no prospects of being able to find anything soon.
Jobs are available, but none that people would really want to do, whereas the army would give people skills and direction with a career and training.
If they stayed in it for two years or so they could be someone instead of no one.
With Isis hellbent on marching to Europe we will need an extra strong fighting force.
National Service recruits could be that force – doing something for themselves and their country.
