As this pandemic grows more powerful and problematic we cannot help to think how long will this last and how it will affect our summer and the rest of our year.

Since school is now closed and our movements are more limited than ever we as a population have grown restless as we enter the unknown. Although shutting down school may not be that big of an issue the idea of us not celebrating the end of the school year and being given the freedom that summer withholds is a reacurring nightmare that inhibits our minds.

This summer may have not seemed that eventful in the beginning of the year however as we are stripped of such privelleges we now see what we take for granted more clearly. As festivals and events get cancelled every day we often see one side to the tradegy and not the other.

Yes, the £90 you've spent on a festival ticket may have gone down the bin but big corporations as well as small independent ones are suffering as this lockdown prevents them to carry on as normal. By having this financial crisis staring straight at us we often get blinded of the past's consequence on the future. For example, there is a possibility of us heading towards a depression and there also may be this possibility of school being extended for an extra year, which may not be ideal for current year 12s and 11s. However these consequences can be reduced if people stay inside in order to contain the virus. If we continue to disobey the government's instructions we might as well give 2020 and early goodbye as it will no longer have significant importance to many of us.
