Young Reporter: Iron Man in House Of Fraser?

On the 21st April, Westfield London hosted the premier for one of the most anticipated movies of the year - Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. The event was on a Tuesday from 4:45pm but viewing areas opened as early at 8:00am, those who arrived before this time were sent away. These viewing areas to see the Hollywood stars were located in the Atrium of Westfield on the Ground Floor. There was only a limited amount of space and spaces were allocated on a ‘first-come first-served’ basis.

On the day of the event around 2400 places were available to see the stars, those who graced the red carpet were the likes of Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany. Director Joss Whedon also attended the event.

Not only were the stars a huge attraction but there other objects for the fans to excite over including a huge Hulk Buster statue outside that was made entirely out of lego, other things including multiple expensive cars including a flashy Red Audi.

It was a grand event with the Stars first emerging from behind huge sliding doors, welcomed but screaming fans, all dressed up as their favourite heroes. Stars like Robert Downey Jr responded to this incredible welcome by stating that the response is ‘mind blowing.’ ‘I never expected that something we started back in 2008 has really taken on a life of its own and it’s lovely.’

Chris Evans, when asked about this incredible event, responded with a jokey reply and shrug of the shoulders, ‘Well Marvel makes good movies.’
