Weybridge Vandals winger Cassian Bramham-Law has set his sights on winning a second Oxford rugby Blue after getting the taste of Varsity victory last week.
The 26-year-old kicked 11 points as skipper John Carter’s men beat Cambridge 28-10 in front of 27,255 fans at Twickenham stadium on Thursday.
Bramham-Law, who is studying for a DPhil in archeological science, became the first Vandals player in the club’s history to earn a rugby Blue, having missed out on achieving the accolade last year due to a shoulder injury.
He defied damaged ankle ligaments and a small fracture in his foot to make the starting line-up this time around and he admitted realising the dream had left him thirsty for more.
“The effort we’ve put in over the past three months makes lifting the trophy even more worthwhile,” he said.
“It is a dream come true. It hasn’t sunk in yet. It has been an absolutely fantastic experience and the culmination of a lot of hard work.
“If it comes to September and I haven’t actually handed in my DPhil, then I would love to give it another crack. It is a once in a lifetime experience.”
