Coach Florent Rossigneaux has targeted further improvement from his Rosslyn Park side despite seeing them romp to victory at Lydney on Saturday.

Park recorded a stunning six-try, 42-0 demolition of their West Country hosts to surge up the National League Three South table.

But after seeing his charges rack up all their points in a frenzied first-half display, Rossigneaux insisted his side were far from the finished article.

He said: “It was a fantastic first half but we need to develop that further.

“We need to go from being a 40-minute team to an 80-minute team.

“A 40-minute display like this was enough to win on Saturday but it may not be enough when we play better teams.

“We still need to learn as a unit and we need to adopt a more professional attitude.”

Even so, the weekend display had Park supporters swooning as they delivered six of the best to silence the boisterous home support.

Chris Simmons (2), Nick Canty, Adam Gates, John Swords and Graham Barr crossed for tries, all converted by Dylan Pugh.

And Rossigneaux admitted he had been impressed by his side’s attacking prowess.

He added: “We played a lot of attacking rugby and scored some great tries.

“There is nothing more pleasing for a coach than seeing your team produce like that.

“Everything seemed to click.”

Park can expect a far tougher examination this weekend when Rugby visit Priory Lane.

And Rossigneaux is relishing the challenge.

The Frenchman added: “That will be a tough game.

“They are still a very strong side and they will be looking to win.

“But for us every game will be a test.

“We are not going around saying we are going to win the league but this will give us a better sense of where we are.”
