Emanuel Rugby Club had a fine home win over Old Amplefordians in their first league game of the season.
Scoring two tries in the first half through Mike Deluce and Marcellus Boyce with a penalty from Paul Hardwick they went in at half time leading 13-11.
Second half tries from Dave Williams, Reion Raybe, Mike Deluce, Joel Flitton, and Marcellus Boyce, with five conversions from Hardwick completed a win of 48-16.
The 2nd XV won away at Merton 22-10, while 3rds had a walkover in Merit Table, and lost in a good game vs Harlequins Amateurs 2nd XV in hastily arranged friendly.
A home 1st XV league game next Saturday 20 Sep vs Old Cranleighans kicks off at 3pm.
