Rosslyn Park coach Chris Kibble has demanded his side finish the season on a high after a five-try romp at Luton eased their relegation fears.

Saturday's 40-29 win pushed Park towards mid-table in National Division Three South and ended a run of four successive defeats.

And Kibble hopes it signals a change in fortunes for his battling side.

He said: "I am pleased we just managed to get a win under our belts.

"I hope this is the foundation for us to move things forward.

"There was a real lack of confidence about the place but this win will allow us to look ahead."

Struggling Luton felt the brunt of Park's recent frustrations, as Marcus McCluggage (two), Mike Count, Nick Canty and Tony Paul score tries to overturn a half-time deficit.

But Kibble still saw plenty to cause him concern.

He added: "We started well then we went through a sticky spell.

"There was some loose play, which we are still trying to iron out.

"It was much improved in the second half, which was encouraging.

"But it was a strain on the heart right to the end."

Kibble's men have a great chance to register back-to-back wins when struggling North Walsham visit Priory Lane on Saturday.

And the Park coach insists that things can only get better should his side perform to their potential.

Kibble added: "We want to finish this season strongly and end as high up the table as we can.

"It is all about playing to our strengths, getting back to basics and building from there.

"We had a good win at their place earlier in the season and will look to repeat that."
