Purley John Fisher launch their London Three South West campaign with a home game against Guernsey this Saturday, writes Martin Bruck.
They go into the new season in high-spirits after running out comfortable winners in a pre-season friendly against Old Whitgiftians at the Parson's Pightle ground in Old Coulsdon last weekend - in a match of 20-minute sessions with rolling substitutes.
That followed on from the previous weekend's victory at the Haselmere Tournament.
PJF will be hoping their switch to the south-west league brings them more success after three unsuccessful play-off attempts in the south-east section in the past three years.
The club trains on Tuesday and Thursday nights at their home ground (7.30pm). New players are welcome.
* After Saturday's game PJF will be showing England's World Cup clash with the United States in the bar.
