London Welsh have signed Scarlets prop Peter Edwards, and Will Robinson from London Wasps.

It brings the The Exiles', under new head coach Justin Burnell, summer signings to 10 so far - Tom May (Northampton Saints), Andrew Titterrell (Edinburgh), Richard Thorpe (Leicester Tigers), Pete Browne (Harlequins), Ben Pienaar (Moseley), Carl Kirwan (Rotherham Titans), Rhys Crane (Nottingham) and Ben West (Cinderford).

Shrewsbury-born Edwards, 32, made 40 appearances for the Scarlets having joined the region in 2010.

The tighthead made his debut for the Scarlets against Benetton Treviso in September 2010 and his first Scarlets try came in a LV= Cup match against Sale Sharks in February 2012.

Edwards has also played for Newtown, North Wales, Llanelli RFC and Llandovery.

He was named among the Scarlets replacements for London Welsh’s pre-season friendly at Parc y Scarlets in August 2012.

Robinson, 20, is a product of the Wasps Academy and has represented England at U18 level.

The fly half made his senior debut for Wasps against Worcester Warriors in the LV= Cup in October 2011. He went on to make a total of five first-team appearances for Wasps, scoring five points.

During his time at Twyford Avenue, Robinson was dual registered with Rosslyn Park, gaining experience of National League One.

Robinson started playing his rugby at Blackheath at the age of eight. He joined the Wasps academy in 2005 while attending Whitgift School.

He became a member of the Wasps academy apprenticeship scheme in 2009, before progressing into the full Wasps academy.

He toured Australia with England U18 in 2011.
