Tim Doran of the Leicester-based OWLS AC won his fourth race in 17 outings at Saturday's Bushy Park 5km Time Trial.

Doran led home a 207-strong field in 16:59, just nine seconds ahead of newcomer Ifan Lloyd of Swansea Harriers, with David Cairnie of Runnymede Runners third in 17:12.

Lynn Wilson of Ealing, Southall and Middlesex AC won the women's race for the second time in 20:06, ahead of Stragglers' Liz Souness (20:26) and unattached runner Nicole Patterson (21:30).

The 104th event produced 49 personal bests, with another 43 completing the course for the first time. Pauline Parfitt of Elmbridge Road Runners and unattached George Snee claimed the weekly prizes of colour t-shirts.

Since the time trial started in 2004, 1,941 different runners from 153 clubs have completed the course 8,689 times.

The time trial is run every Saturday at 9am from the Diana Fountain car park in Bushy Park. It is free to enter for runners of all standards and ages and no pre-race registration is required.
