Former Twickenham CC overseas player Kirk Edwards hit a century on his West Indies Test debut on Saturday.

The 26-year-old, who played a season for the Ts in 2005, hit a second innings 110 on day four of the third Test against India.

It lifted the gloom as Twickenham had another miserable day in the Middlesex County League Premier Division in losing by seven wickets to near neighbours Teddington.

Debutant overseas player Parminder Singh’s 32, down the order, helped his side post a sub-standard 120 on the Green, before Middlesex star Dawid Malan (30) and wicketkeeper Mark Phythian (45) took the visitors to a comfortable win.

Richmond slipped to the foot of the table as they crashed to a seven wicket defeat against second-placed Winchmore Hill at Old Deer Park.

Jamies Thorpe (4-31) and Josh Davey (4-35) did the damage as the hosts were dismissed for 147, before Luke Stoughton (55*) and Davey (40*) saw Hill home to the points.

Richmond - who are two points adrift of Twickenham and safety - travel to Teddington on Saturday, while the Ts face a crucial clash at fellow-strugglers Finchley.

In Divison Three, Barnes returned to winning ways with a 17-run win over Harrow St Mary to move to fourth in the table as they chase leaders Wembley.
