Mo Farah's move to America is paying dividends after double European champion smashed the European 10,000m record last Friday.
The 28 year-old, who moved to the States from Teddington last winter to work with coach Alberto Salazar, ran 26 minutes, 46.57 seconds in the latest leg of the Samsung Diamond League in Eugene, Oregon.
His time knocked six seconds off the previous record held by Belgian Mohammed Mourhit since 1999.
It also broke the 13-year British record held by Jon Brown and was two-and-a-half minutes quicker than Farah's own previous personal best.
It was the world's fastest 10,000m time since 2009 and saw Farah beat top-class athletes which included Olympic silver medallist Sileshi Sihine and the world silver and bronze medallists Zersenay Tadese and Moses Masai.
