NPL Teddington’s league season started with three narrow defeat.
The first XI, chasing down Wooburn Narkovians’ 262-6 were well place until the dismissals of Chris Galifent and skipper Simon Tomlinson, both for 63, proved the turning point.
It was a similar story for seconds as 50s from Neil Bunting and Martin Kelly saw them close in on Beaconsfield’s 198-6 but with their departure, they lost by 27 runs.
The thirds lost to Hayes but the standout performance was by U15 Jack Seeney who took four wickets on his debut.
Hampton U15 Colts lost to Hampton Hill in the Cup despite 5-22 from Sam Tomlinson.
The U13s beat Hampton Wick Royals thanks to 65 from Will Roberts and 2-8 from Owen Rawlins.
The U11s went down to Teddington.
