Andy Ellis has praised his Harlequins team-mates for helping him to win the Irn-Bru Try of the Month award.
His try against Castleford Tigers on April 15 was selected by Jon Wells of Sky Sports’ Boots ‘n’ All for the top prize from a selection of three tries during the month.
Ellis received a trophy plus £200 to donate to a charity of his choice by Super League legend Paul Sculthorpe.
He said: “The try was a real team effort and thanks go to Luke Gale and Luke Dorn who were integral to its success.
“It feels fantastic to have won.
“I will donate the money to the Guillain-Barré Syndrome Support group who do great work and the Garry Purdham Memorial Trust.”
