Striders of Croydon’s Justin Macenhill continued his return from injury by winning the Lloyd Park 5km parkrun on Saturday morning.
He clocked 19 minutes, 10 seconds, to win the weekly event with elder brother Damian sixth (20:57) and Alan Dolton seventh (21:53).
Serena Stracey (24:18) was second woman and 14th overall, with Natalie Osher (27:25) seventh woman and 30th overall.
At the Roundshaw Downs parkrun, Lee Flanagan ran well to finish second (17.27) while Rob Sharpe was fourth (18.34), Nigel Davidson tenth (20.24) and veteran Barry Finch 23rd (22.47).
Helen Furze ran well to be the first woman in the Esher 10 kilometre road race. She placed 14th overall, recording a club over-45 record of 40 minutes 35. Her husband Neil Furze finished in 46 minutes 34.
