Two Teddington U10 girls teams headed off to local rivals Surbiton to play a total of five teams in a league format.

Teddington Teddies finished top of the table after they were unbeaten, having won 4 games and drawn only one. Teddington Bears came second after winning all their games except the one against their training partners the Teddies.

Head coach of Under 10’s Neil D’Mello commented: “After a slow start both teams picked up the pace and went onto to win all their games in style. It was a strong Teddington performance played in excellent spirits."

The following two weekends on Sunday 13th and 20th February, the under 10 and under 12 girls and boys squads were the first Teddington players to play and host festivals on their new home pitch based at Teddington Sports Centre. Both festivals were well attended from clubs all over the South East.

Gavin Cookman, Junior Section Chair at Teddington Hockey said: “It's great to see so many juniors representing their club whilst having fun, keeping fit and carrying on a proud tradition of strong Hockey playing in Teddington now for 140 years!”

He added: “The opening of a brand new astro pitch at Teddington School should now enable Teddington Hockey Club to continue its drive to become the best Hockey Club in London and a club for Teddington to be proud of.”
