Leading community based HIV charity Positive East is extending their community involvement further than ever this World AIDS Day, by holding the inaugural 5K Red Run in Richmond Park, London on Sunday 21st November 2010.

‘HIV is still strongly stigmatised and presents severe challenges to many individuals and communities across London. For the significant proportion living in poverty it is an everyday struggle to stay healthy and independent’ stated Mark Santos, Director of Positive East.

The 5K Red Run is a fun opportunity for everyone to join in, to raise HIV awareness and stop HIV stigma and discrimination. Over 26,000 people in London are living with HIV; World AIDS Day is the time to get involved and help Positive East raise much needed funds to continue supporting vulnerable positive people.

Be part of World AIDS Day; join the 5K Red Run and make a real difference for those affected by HIV. The 5K Red Run is free to enter, and everybody is welcome – just sign up and pledge to raise £50 or more in sponsorship.
