The eight achievement award einners from Croydon School of Gymnastics were all invited to attend the Jack Petchey Regional Awards Ceremony held at Fairfield Halls last Wednesday.

Emma Roach (April 2010 winner), Zoe Aubert (June 2010 winner), Natasha Scully (July 2010 winner), Theo Stergiou (August 2010 winner), Philip Davis (September 2009 winner), Charlotte Walker (January 2010 winner), Natalie Walker (March 2010 winner) and Charlie Shute (August 2010 winner) were among more than 30 young people at the event.

They came from different sports clubs, theatre groups, dance & drama, arts, youth clubs and education along with their coaches, leaders and family to join in with the celebrations.

The ceremony highlighted the positive attributes of young people and they were made to feel special as each award winner was presented with a boxed medallion in recognition of their achievement.

Ryan Curtis had the crowd in fits as compere along with his side-kick Lee Thompson.

There were also performances from dancer Alex Peters, singer Ruth Brown and the drummers from Addington High School.
