Streatham Redskins slumped to their second consecutive loss with a dissapointing 10-1 defeat against Romford Raiders.

The Redskins had been dealt a disspointing blow prior to the game when star forward Joe Johnston was ruled out with a knee injury.

Romford showed little mercy on the Redskins as they hit double figures courtesy of a Juraj Huska hat trick and two goals from Frankie Harvey. Tom Davis, Danny Marshall, Anthony Leone, AJ Smith and Tyrone Miller got a goal each for the home side and Streatham’s consolation came from Michael Ranby.

"Romford is a difficult place to go with a full squad, never mind with absentees" said Redskins Coach Barry Spours. "We are not using that as an excuse though as we failed to cope with the Raiders forward line and they were worthy winners"

"We face them again this upcoming Sunday and I will be looking for a good reaction from the guys to try and restore some pride"

Streatham also handed a debut to Nick Templeman and gave Remy Boprey his first start in this fixture.
