Esher College student Isabel Brinsden was one of three record-breakers in the annual Surrey track and field championships at Kingsmeadow Stadium on Saturday.

Brinsden was one of only two runners in the senior girls’ 3,000m and won by more than a minute in 10 minutes, 18.83 seconds.

It was significantly slower than the 10:06.86 the 18-year-old posted in winning the Surrey County title last month.

Kingston had a hat-trick of winners in the senior boys’ events. Hollyfield’s George Corcoran took the 1,500m (4:22.68), Tolworth Sixth Form’s Ben Daniel the long jump (5.82m) and Tiffin Boys’ Hussein Al Kemachi the shot (12.17m).

Sutton had four successes through Sutton Grammar’s Tom Kennedy (100m in 11.57), Carshalton College’s Jamie Otoo (triple jump, 13.06m), Greenshaw’s Craig Hart (110m hurdles, 15.81) and Wallington Boys’ Ross Norton (javelin, 50.92m).

St John’s Leatherhead’s Thomas Morris (200m in 25.2) and Adam Taylor (800m in 2:06.34) were among three Central Surrey winners.

St George’s Weybridge’s Lois Bond (800m in 2:24.65) was another winner for North East Surrey in the senior girls’ event.

Central Surrey’s only success in this category came from Epsom College’s Stephanie Crouch (long jump with 4.75m).

Sutton’s two successes in the intermediate boys’ events were Wilson’s School pupils Jordan Maurice (1,500m in 4:08.15) and Jacob Paul (400m hurdles in 55.50).

Jordan Burns, from Epsom College, took the 200m (22.81).

Wallington Girls’ Jahisha Thomas was Sutton’s sole success in the intermediate girls’ events, winning the long jump with 5.56m.

Carla Letheby (Esher’s Claremont Fan Court), took the intermediate girls’ discus (35.60m).

Girls: Kerri Davidson (Ursuline), long jump (4.82m), Shona Richards (Rosebery, Epsom) 200m (25.72).
