Young Epsom golfer Enrique Dimayuga took another step along the way to stardom as he finised tied seventh at the U.S Kids Golf European Championships earlier this month.
The eight-year-old Horton Park Golf Club member and Southfields Park School student starred in East Lothian as he impressed over three rounds in a strong field of 31 youngsters from across the globe - including Venezuela and the Philippines.
Enrique is hoping to transfer his good form to the world championships in America later this summer and coach Brendan Howell believes he is heading in the right direction.
“The standard was superb, the best eight-year-olds from around the world. I was very impressed with his performance,” he said.
