A record 226 runners finished last Saturday’s Wimbledon Common parkrun.
However, a fault with one of the scanners means that organisers have been unable to identify half the runners.
Thankfully, winner Andrew Mercer, of Thames Turbo Triathlon, is a familiar face in the event and marked his 15th appearance by clocking 16 minutes, 51 seconds.
Debutant Andrew Lister was second (17:07), with Serpentine’s Eoin Connell (17:30) third. Unattached Eliss Dennis was first woman.
Elmbridge Road Runners’ Kevin Armstrong and Stragglers’ Heidi Wright won the Kingston parkrun.
Kingston & Polytechnic’s George Corcoran and West 4 Harriers’ Alison Brownhill took the honours in Richmond Park.
Belgrave’s Richard Ward returned to winning ways in Banstead Woods, with Reigate Priory’s Sally Read-Cayton winning the women’s event.
Bushy Park remains the most popular parkrun and Belgrave’s Will Cockerell led home a 600-plus field (16:23), ahead of Ranelagh’s Nathan Mills (17:33). Unattached runner Joanne Beckett was first woman.
