It was a promising start for newly promoted Sutton & District AC to the Ebbisham League on Sunday.

With a slightly depleted squad of U13 and U15 boys, the athletes, that weren’t stuck abroad, proved themselves by giving very strong performances on the track and field and enabling the team to go straight to the top of Division 1 with an amazing 174 points giving them a lead of over 34 points!

Strong performances in the U13 Division 1 for Sutton & District came from Craig Rawlings; 1st A string Javelin, 1st B string shot putt, Joel McFarlane 2nd place A string 100m, 2nd place A Long jump and 1st place B 200m, Liam Walter A string Shot putt, 2nd place B string 100m, Sid Walters 1st B Long jump, 2nd place A High jump. Josh Bartholomew 2nd place A string 1500m and 1st B string Javelin, Daniel Haughton 1st B 1500m, and James Kerr, 2nd Place B string 300m and 1st B string 800m.

In the U13 4 x 200m relay a comfortable win for the team consisting of Joel McFarlane, Sid Walters, Josh Bartholomew and Liam Walter with a time of 2.03.9

The U15s also showed great team spirit and put in solid performances these came from Andre Livingstone; 2nd A string 100m, 200m and triple jump. Luke Semikin 4th A string 800m and 4th A string 1500m Nigel Munzunga; 4th A string High jump and 4th B string 100m. Shaun Cooke 2nd B string 200m, 3rd A string 400m. Aaron Gillfillan 3rd A string Discus & Javelin, Cameron Starr 1st B string discus and 3rd B string 400m.

Finn Gallager, 2nd B string Javelin and 2nd B string 800m and Ore Ogunlana 2nd B string Triple jump.
