Harlequins Rugby League prop Oliver Wilkes believes victory in tomorrow's fourth round Carnegie Challenge Cup tie against Wakefield Wildcats will mark the start of his side's season.

It will be the second time this year Wilkes has faced his former club at the Twickenham Stoop and the 29-year-old is confident they will banish memories of January's 18-10 defeat.

"I'm very happy to get another opportunity to play Wakefield at the Stoop. The first game that we played wasn't a result that went our way and personally I was very disappointed with my performance."

"I was listening to the Challenge Cup draw at home and thought; here it is, another chance. I've settled in with Harlequins over the past few months and know how they want me to play."

"It will be a challenge for us, but tomorrow could be the start of our season."

Wilkes, who began his professional career at Sheffield Eagles in the days following their memorable 1998 Challenge Cup victory, has always set his sights on a Wembley appearance.

"The Challenge Cup is what dreams are made of and growing up, you dream of playing in finals at Wembley. That's the sort of thing that makes you want to play the game. Even the Australians players that come over are brought-up with the knowledge of what it means and want to play in the final."

Meanwhile, Harlequins hooker Ben Kaye has returned to Co-operative Championship leaders Featherstone Rovers for a second one-month spell on loan.
