St Mary’s Twickenham students helped Britain to women’s team victory at the World University Cross Country Championships in Kingston, Ontario, Canada on Sunday.
Jess Sparke was runner-up in the 5km event in 16 minutes, 41.9 seconds, 12 seconds behind the winner, with Jo Harvey third (16:48.7).
Britain’s men took bronze medals in their 10km event, with St Mary’s pair Ben Lindsay (31:20.4) and Mitch Goose (31:25.0) their second and third best runners.
