Danny Orr is looking for a reaction from his Harlequins RL teammates when the Londoners host the Catalan Dragons this weekend.

Two weeks into the Super League campaign and Quins already sit bottom of the table, courtesy of points difference after their 58-0 thrashing at Warrington last weekend.

And the veteran scrum-half reckons it is time for his side to make a stand.

Orr said: “When you come off the field after a game like Warrington it hurts - it really does.

“There were a lot of disappointed players in the dressing room and we know we let ourselves down.

“But there is no point beating yourself up about it.

“You do not have time to be too negative as there is always another game and we have Catalans up next on Sunday.

“We believe in what we are doing and it is time to show that on the pitch.”

Orr was a rare veteran presence among a Quins side at Warrington that fielded the likes of youngsters Jamie O’Callaghan, Dave Williams and Ben Bolger.

And the 31-year-old admits that is something he has had to factor in.

He added: “We do have a lot of young players out there but they have to remember the fact that they are out there is because they are good players.

“In a couple of years time they will be able to draw on these experiences and remember thrashings like this.

“I would not say that I have had to play any different, but you do have to bear in mind the age and experience of these guys.”

The dark clouds are already swirling after back-to-back opening defeats to start the campaign.

But the scrum-half is eager to banish all talk of a crisis.

Orr added: “There is plenty of time to turn things round and we have only played two games.

“There is a pride among the squad and nobody wants to go through that again.

“We did not help ourselves but now is all about moving on.”
