In his first appearance, Justin MACENHILL (SM35-39) of Striders of Croydon AC won for the first time in a time of 18:25, writes Nicola Stevenson.

Steven BARBER (SM25-29) representing Sutton Runners took second by 18 seconds recording 18:43.

Barry ATTWELL, (VM55-59) of South London Harriers placed third in a time of 18:51.

In her first appearance, Serena STRACEY (SW30-34) of Striders of Croydon AC won in a time of 22:01 for the 1st time.

She beat Abbie BURRETT (JW14) representing South London Harriers by 271 seconds recording 26:32 in the process. Annette HELLIWELL, (VW50-54) of Collingwood AC placed third in a time of 27:06.

In today's Age Graded competition, Barry ATTWELL recorded a performance of 81.52%.

In the points competition Peter WALSH has a lead of 95 points over second placed Simon DONAGHY. Abbie BURRETT leads Jeannette RYAN by 193 in the women's competition.

This week there were nine first timers.

The male course record is held by Jason SIMPSON who ran 16:20 on 07/11/09, event #17. The female equivalent is held by Beckie WOODLAND who ran 19:40 on 18/07/09, event #1.
