Epsom-based Jack Neill won a silver medal at this year’s British Men’s Gymnastics Championships in Goresbrook.
His medal-winning success came on the pommel and went one better than last year when he took bronze.
Jack, a year eight pupil at Glyn Technology School, also came fourth in the rings and eighth overall in the U12 category.
He trains for 18 hours a week at Tolworth Gymnastics Club, where he has been a member from the age of five and is coached by Simon Gale, who also lives in Epsom.
A member of the Northern Ireland gymnastics team, he was crowned Irish national champion earlier this year.
Jack comes from a sporting family - the previous weekend younger brother Aengus was a member of the Sutton & Epsom RFC U11 team that won the Camberley Festival.
