The Thames Hare & Hounds ace headed home the 136-strong field in 17 minutes, 12 seconds, beating Hercules Wimbledon’s Phil Glynn by three seconds, with Clapham Chasers’ Graeme Buscke third (17:47).
Symons also posted the top age-graded performance of the event.
Serpentine’s Catherine Wilding was the women’s winner (19:49), ahead of unattached Zoe Phillips (21:07) and Hercules teenager Michaela Knespl (21:21).
