It was a busy weekend for Sutton Runners this weekend with various runners competing in no less than ten different events.
Marathon stalwart Jim Mundy, not content with running two marathons in Ireland last weekend, also ran the Wolverhampton Marathon on Sunday finishing third over 50 in a time of 3:40:06.
Club member Spencer Rolls ran the same distance at the Kent Coastal Marathon in a time of 5:00:00.
The half marathon distance was tackled by Geoff Buston at Bristol in a time of 1:30:51 (538th) while down in the Surrey Badger Half Mark Wingham 1.33.28 (43rd), Anita Hedges 1.54.04 (188th), Therese Panetta 1.54.04 (189th) and Marion Stanton 2.05.39 (275th) covered the 21Km distance.
In a shorter event, the Harry Hawkes 8 Miles, on Sunday Steven Barber finished a high 9th position in a time of 48:44 followed by Neil McAlpine 51:23, Tim McIntyre 55:27, Peter Sturton 58:18 and Penny Hubbard in 63:29.
Sutton Runners finished fifth.
In the popular Women's Challenge 5k at Hyde Park on Sunday Nicola Button managed a personal best time of 26:15.
Sutton Runners also had competitors at four different 5km parkruns: Banstead Woods: 8 Steven Barber 18.09, 9 Chris Catt 18.12, 19 Neil McAlpine 19.15, 57 Ange Norris 22.06, 77 Tim McIntyre 23.42, 142 Patricia Cue 31.41.
Richmond Park: 39 James Barber 21.46.
Roundshaw: 24 Tony Gallagher 25.11.
Wimbledon Common: 36 Earl Tulloch 20.37, 52 Tony Moorhouse 21.14, 79 Jenny Sinfield 23.01, 80 Graham Miller 23.02, 107 Anita Hedges 24.45, 157 Pauline Woodman 29.21.
