Teddington Swimming Club youngsters James Stanhope and Alex Lloyd posted personal best times at the National Championships in Sheffield last week.
James qualified in fifth position in the 100m butterfly heats and finished seventh in the final.
Earlier in the year, he won the London youth and county fly events and took silver in the London Regions event. His 60 seconds time in Sheffield was a mere 1.2 seconds outside a medal place.
Alex came 37th in the 100m front crawl. His 57.31 was a long course personal best. Along the way, he won silver in the London regional 100 front crawl and silver in the London youth breaststroke.
