Old Whitgiftians are within two points of promotion to Surrey Championship division one with three games left after a 137 run win over Egham.
Alex Goward scored 100 not out and Egham could not recover from a terrible start that left them 6-5. Whit can clinch promotion this weekend with victory over Leatherhead & Cobham while at the other end of the table Old MidWhitgiftians fell into the bottom two with defeat to Camberley.
Purley lost to Ashtead in division one but stay outside the relegation places and face a must win game against bottom of the table Esher on Saturday.
Warlingham must beat Old Wimbledonians to have any hope of avoiding the drop in division three while in division five Addiscombe can clinch promotion with victory over third-placed Thames Ditton, who are 24 points behind with just 30 points left available.
