Herne Hill Harriers’ track & field team defied atrocious conditions at Kingsmeadow to win the Rosenheim League for the first time since 2001 with an emphatic victory.
The team’s superiority shone through the gloomy drizzle as the club won five of the 12 events and placed second in six, leaving only the pole vault in which HHH failed to place in the top two.
Match result: 1 Herne Hill Harriers 87; 2 Kingston & Polytechnic AC 71; 3 Belgrave Harriers 65; 4 Croydon Harriers 64; 5 Hercules Wimbledon 48; 6 St Mary’s Richmond 33.5; 7 Walton AC 28; 8 Serpentine RC 25.5.
