Woodmansterne 2nd X1 made a mockery of league positions as they swept aside Merrow in a one-sided away victory.
Winning the toss, Woods insterted Merrow, and soon made inroads as Paul Movel and Guy Chamberlayne each claimed early wickets.
The Merrow batsmen had no answer to the crafty bowling of Movel, and the consistent swing movement of Chamberlayne.
They were supported by some excellent wicket keeping and fielding, culminating in a superb catch by James Ingram off Chamberlayne, to dismiss Merrow's skipper, who briefly threatened some resistence.
Chamberlayne finished with figures of 4 for 38, while Movel bagged 5 for 27, claiming the last wicket. Ralph Patel also grabbed a wicket as Woods bowled Merrow out for just 80.
Opener Mickey Joyce was bowled for a rare duck in the first over of Woods reply, but it was merely a blip in an otherwise perfect day for Woods, as skipper Hiren Patel (48*) and Matt Joyce (29*) helped Woods to an easy 9 wicket victory.
