It's been another full week of races for the members of Sutton Runners.

The week started on Monday 29th June with Martin Newton taking part in the Battersea Park 5k race. He completed in a time of 18.32.

On Thursday 2nd July at the Nonsuch Park relay races, Sutton Runners made up nine teams.

The 6th team overall to finished was made up of Steve Barber 10.24, Neil A 11.00, Charles Green 11.08 and Martin Newton 10.36, team time of 43.08.

Other team results were: Tony Moorhouse 11.15, Earl Tulloch 12.00, Jon Senker 11.50 and Graham Miller 11.37, team time of 46.42. Gerry Cashman 12.07, Jim Mundy 12.08, Pete Sturton 11.47 and Tim McIntyre 11.52, team time of 47.54. Gina Burbridge 12.50, Jenny Sinfield 13.00, Fiona Park 12.24, and Lauren Jones 12.20, team time of 50.34. Claire Ballhatchett 14.33, Kathryn Chisholm 15.23, Emily B 14.31 and Anita Hedges 13.47, team time of 58.14. Barbara Burnett 14.42, Penny Hubbard 13.51, Pauline Woodman 17.16 and Therese Panetta 14.20, team time of 60.00. Lynn Hickey 14.36, Kaye Benjamin 15.18, Tricia Cue 16.53 and Marion Stanton 14.49, team time of 61.36.

On Saturday 4th July at the Banstead Woods 5k Time Trial, Sutton Runners had 10 members taking part. Neil McAlpine finished in 11th position in a time of 19.16 which was also a PB.

Other runners were: Tony Moorhouse 20.29 (29th), Mark Aldred 22.30 (52nd), Penny Hubbard 24.15 (79th), Therese Panetta 24.43 (84th), Kaye Benjamin 27.14 (110th), Patricia Cue 29.11 (122nd), Glenn Woodman 29.12 (123rd), Sue McIntyre 32.22 (139th) and Pauline Woodman 32.23 (140th).

At the Richmond Park 5k Time Trial, Steven Barber and a PB and finished in 4th place in a time of 18.25.

Then on Sunday 5th July. Martin Newton and Vicky Foad completed in the Wimbledon Windmilers 10k. Martin finished in 37.38 and Vicky in 40.05.

Over in Battersea in the Sri Chimnoy 10mile race Jon Senker ran a PB and finished in 15th place in a time of 67.20.

Marathon Man Jim Mundy decided he needed another weekend of races. On Saturday he competed in the Kent Beer Run.

A 16 Miles race that included 7 pubs and 3 river crossing.

Jim finished in a time of 7.20.00. This was rather a short distance for Jim, so on Sunday he took part in the Tanners Marathon, a 30 Mile race and finished in a time of 6.18.18.

Mark Wingham took part in the Bewl 15 in Kent on Sunday 5 July. It's an off-road hilly 15 mile race around Bewl Reservoir. He completed in a time of 2hrs 13 sec in 121st position.
