Sutton’s mixed gender tennis team will compete in the Balfour Beatty London Youth Games tennis Super Sixes at Crystal Palace this weekend after making it through the qualifying rounds.
The qualifiers were held on 20 June at Redbridge Sports Centre and Team Sutton won its group to qualify.
Sutton Team Manager Bev Rand said: “The qualifiers were not only good fun but also a good test of the team.They played well and we’re looking forward to the Final at Crystal Palace.”
Competitor Emily Napier, who attends Cheam High School, added: “We are all really excited about the Super 6s and hopefully we can make all Sutton proud by going the whole way.”
The draw for the tennis finals will be published on londonyouthgames.org ahead of the finals on 5 July at Crystal Palace.
