In his ninth appearance, Adam Vandenberg (SM25-29) of Hercules Wimbledon AC won for the fourth time in a time of 16:48.

Sean Ryan (SM30-34) representing Belgrave Harriers took second place by 55 seconds recording 17:43, a new PB by 15 secs. Rob Walker, (SM25-29) of Abbey Runners Leeds was placed third in a time of 17:50.

In her first appearance, Susannah Evans (SW25-29) of Eryri Harriers (pictured) won in a time of 20:56. Susannah beat unattached runner Sydney Anna Taylor (JW14) by 44 seconds.

Taylor recorded 21:40 in the process. Marion Rayner, (VW55-59) of West 4 Harriers was placed third in a time of 22:06 which was more than good enough to earn her top spot in today's Age Graded competition with a performance of 86.20 per cent.

In the points competition Andrew K Davies has a lead of 141 points over second placed James Ball. Nicola El Kadiri leads Francesca Carter by 226 in the women's competition.

This week there were 24 first timers.

Thirty-nine runners recorded PBs, bringing the total number since the Wimbledon Common parkrun started to 2,477. In the men’s event, seventh-placed Clayton Scott knocked 26 secs of his previous best and a little further down the field Peter Dowdeswell was at it again, slicing a further 54 secs off his PB but his performance this week was eclipsed by Marcus Magnusson and Darko Calina who made a mockery of their previous bests by 114 and 104 secs respectively.

But all of this was put in the shade by Nicola Milburn who improved by an astonishing 160 secs. Leonie Alexander and Lana Goldman lowered their PBs by 107 and 78 secs.

Since the event’s start in January 2007, 2404 runners from 152 different clubs have completed the race 9634 times covering a distance of 48,170km.

The male course record is held by Kojo Kyereme who ran 15:24 on 17/03/07, event #11. The female equivalent is held by Justina Heslop who ran 17:49 on 15/09/07, event #37.
