Twickenham’s Newland House Preparatory School secured the U11s Junior Trophy for the third year in a row at the IAPS National Badminton Tournament, held at St Paul's School, Barnes, on Saturday.
In an all-Newland House final, their U11 pair, Harry Llewellyn and Toby Godfray, managed to defeat their younger rivals from the school, Tom Clough and Arthur Hughes, by 21-15.
There was almost a clean sweep for Newland House, with their U13s pair losing in the quarter-finals of the senior competition by the narrowest of margins, 21-20, to the eventual winners, Holme Grange, from Berkshire.
Their U12s pair, Alfie Battle and Daniel Barley, reached the final but lost 21-15 to their rivals from Holme Grange .
