Croydon Harriers' boys made an encouraging start to their autumn fixtures in the Blackheath Relays at Sparrows Den on Saturday.
Jordan Maurice looked especially sharp on his U15 anchor leg, completed in 10:55, with multi events medallist Jacob Paul closing in strongly for an 11:01 clocking and Elliott Veheary make a welcome and successful return to the club scene with his 11:11 effort.
Jacob Cross ran well for the U13s.
Next weekend, with Peter Chambers available, Harriers will be looking for a good result in the South of England Championship at Aldershot.
