A third consecutive win at Cheam Road on Saturday, this time against Dulwich, saw the Popinjays off the bottom of the Surrey Championship Premiership table for the first time this season.
Four wickets for Sartor, who destroyed the Dulwich top-order, and three each for Medlycott and Butt, saw the visitors dismissed for just 131, with keeper Coombe claiming four victims.
Skipper Medlycott then led Sutton to a five-wicket win with a cultured 72 runs.
A win against Guildford at Woodbridge Road this Saturday would see Sutton a long way towards Premiership survival. Suttons seconds beat Dulwich by 56 runs to consolidate their upper mid-table position in the second XI Premiership; but the threes allowed Normandy to go one point ahead of them at the top of the table after losing at Hunts Hill Road. The fourth XI won a high-scoring game against London Welsh.
