Cobham's Peter Willcox is among six British players who are competing in the 11th European Deaf Tennis Championships, which get underway in Bucharest, Romania, on Saturday.
Players from 15 countries will take part in the event and Britain will be hoping to improve on their performance in Pau, France, four years ago when they won two silver medals and two bronze medals.
Willcox, one of five British representatives in the men's singles, has been crowned national champion eight times in the last 10 years.
