Symons leads Wimbledon century

He led a field of 100 to win for the third time in 17 minutes eight seconds, more than a minute ahead of Thames Hare & Hounds' Ian Higgins (18:15), with Andrew Davies of Serpentine third (18:18).

Claire Cann of Hercules Wimbledon (19:28) led the women home ahead of teenager Ella Benedict (21:01) and Thames Hare & Hounds' over-50 vet Anna Garner (21:37).

Thames Hare & Hounds' over-70 veteran Keith Spacie was age graded winner, finishing 31st in 21:13.

WCTT regular Zoe Phillips was absent, taking part in the Zurich Iron Man event, in which she completed a 3.8km swim and 180km cycle before clocking three hours 48 minutes for a marathon.
