Cheam remain unbeaten in the New Surrey Weekend Fours League after taking 10 points from a 52-41 win at Norbury.

Gary Stevens' rink scraped through by one shot at the last end to take the honours while Chas Smith held on determinedly to win by the same margin, despite losing the last four ends.

Captain, John Parsons, with Ken Bailey, David Coward and Tony Soper, had a comfortable 14-shot victory which just countered the 9 shot defeat by David Self's Four.

Parsons lost on only six of the 21 ends, but it was a different story elsewhere.

Cheam actually won on fewer ends overall than their opponents, but did just enough to keep their record intact.
