Croydon Harriers' top sprinter Paul Dasaolu took the England Athletics U23s 100m title in very blustery conditions at Bedford.
Fastest from the heats in 10.42, the Croydon man headed a tight leading trio in the final to win the gold medal in 10.40sec. Long jumper Paul Ogun was frustrated by a centimetre in the long jump, in which his best leap of 7.09cm was thwarted by that distance.
Young triple jump prospect Tunde Amosu went up an age group and did well to take the U23s silver with 14.88m.
