Hercules Wimbledon's Surrey bronze medalist Liam White posted another fine run when he finished eighth out of almost 250 runners in the South of England boys' U15 4.5km cross country championship at Parliament Hill Fields on Saturday.

White was the first Surrey runner over the line as he clocked 18 minutes 16 seconds, finishing less than a minute behind the race winner.

Herne Hill's Lewis Lloyd who was eighth in the Surrey championship, also had a good run to finish 18th in 18:44, but he was unable to stop Hercules Wimbledon reversing the team placings in the Surrey race.

Herne Hill, who took silver team medals at Croydon, finished behind Hercules Wimbledon over the more challenging Parliament Hill Fields course.

Hercules Wimbledon were 19th out of the 36 teams to close in, with Herne Hill in 22nd place.
