Mitcham-based CIA were at the centre of a night of controversy as they crashed out of the LMBL Cup quarter-final by eight points last weekend, writes Luke Bowler.
The referee called an end to their game with London Omega several minutes before the final whistle after a flare-up between the two teams. CIA complained that an elbow to the chest had led to an injury for their new signing Mark Burton.
The game will go under review by league officials before a final score is announced.
The cup clash followed a hard-fought 84-58 defeat by Australian side Rocco's Raiders, the current league leaders, in which Burton and Jamie Whitaker had made their CIA debuts.
CIA host second-placed Hackney CC at Canons Leisure Centre, Mitcham, this Saturday (5pm).
